Why report a user and request an account restriction?
If you are concerned about another user's behaviour on Airtasker, you can report them and ask for their account to be restricted. This may be appropriate if you have experienced or witnessed safety concerns, misconduct, fraud, inappropriate behaviour, harassment, or any other activity that may breach Airtasker's policies.
What information should I include in my report?
To help us review your report quickly and accurately, please include as much detail as possible, such as the other user's profile details, the date and time of the incident, a clear description of what happened, and any messages, photos, screenshots, or other evidence that support your report. If you know the task or conversation involved, include that too.
How do I submit the report?
You can submit your report through Airtasker's support channels. Contact our support team through the Help Centre or the support option available in your account, and provide the details of your concern. If the issue is urgent or involves immediate safety risk, contact local emergency services first.
What happens after I submit a report?
Once your report is submitted, Airtasker will review the information provided and may look into the account activity, messages, and any supporting evidence. We may contact you if we need more information to complete the review. Depending on the circumstances, action may be taken on the reported account in line with our policies.
What outcome and timeline should I expect?
Review times can vary depending on the nature of the report, the amount of information provided, and whether further investigation is needed. In some cases, we may be able to act quickly; in others, it may take longer to complete the review. We take all reports seriously and aim to assess them as promptly as possible.
Will I be told the outcome?
For privacy and safety reasons, we may not be able to share full details of the outcome or any action taken on another user's account. However, you can be assured that all reports are taken seriously and reviewed carefully by our team.
