Airtasker - Business Membership Terms & Conditions

These Business Membership Terms & Conditions (Business Membership Terms) are between you and Airtasker Limited (ABN 53 149 850 457) (Airtasker), and govern the purchase, renewal and use of an Airtasker Business Membership (as defined below). By purchasing, renewing, or using a Business Membership, you agree to these Business Membership Terms, and acknowledge that any use of the Airtasker Australia platform at www.airtasker.com/au (Platform) is also subject to Airtasker’s Terms and Conditions available at www.airtasker.com/au/terms/ (collectively, the Terms). 

1. About the Business Membership

   1. An Airtasker Business Membership is a paid membership program that can be used by the primary account holder (Business Member) and up to 4 additional team member accounts (BM Seats) to use the Platform whilst utilising the Business Membership Benefits (as defined below) (Business Membership). 
   2. During an active Business Membership Period (as defined below), Business Members are entitled to the following benefits, subject to fair use and these Business Membership Terms:
      1. $0 Connection Fees on all tasks booked through the Platform using the Business Member account or any valid BM Seat account; and
      2. Priority support from Airtasker’s customer service team.

3. At any given time, an Airtasker Business Membership permits a Business Member to nominate up to four (4) BM Seats who will be entitled to utilise the Business Membership Benefits.  In order to do so, a Business Member needs to contact Airtasker Support.

2. Membership fees and Term

   1. A Business Membership costs $849 annually, including GST (Business Membership Fee). 
   2. The full cost of the Business Membership Fee is due at the time of purchase. 
   3. A Business Membership is valid for 12 months commencing from the date that the Business Membership Fee is paid (Business Membership Period).
   4. At the end of the Business Membership Period, the Business Membership will automatically renew for successive 12-month periods (being a new Business Membership Period). You will be reminded of the renewal prior to the end of your Business Membership Period.  Your Business Membership will not automatically renew if you have cancelled it prior to the renewal date, in accordance with these Business Membership Terms. 
   5. By purchasing a Business Membership, you authorise Airtasker to automatically charge your nominated payment method on each renewal date, the then-current Business Membership Fee until you cancel.
   6. You are responsible for ensuring your payment details remain accurate and up to date. A failed or declined payment does not relieve you of your obligation to pay.  If you have more than one payment method on file, you authorise Airtasker to attempt those methods until the Business Membership Fee is successfully paid in full. 
   7. From time to time, we may offer different membership programs, and the fees and terms for those different memberships may vary. You will find details about the membership model you are subscribed to, the applicable membership fee and the next due date in your account. 
      
       

3. Payments

   1. A Business Membership can be purchased by any individual with an active Airtasker Australia account who is aged 18 years or over. 
   2. To purchase a Business Membership, you must visit the Business Membership Landing Page and follow the steps to purchase. 
   3. Business Memberships cannot be purchased using gift cards, Airtasker credits, vouchers, or coupon codes.
   4. Business Memberships cannot be purchased through the Airtasker mobile application and must be purchased via the Airtasker website.
      
       

4. Cancellation by you and refunds

   1. You may cancel your Business Membership renewal at any time by contacting Airtasker’s customer service team at least 7 days prior to your Business Membership renewal date.
   2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Business Memberships have no cooling-off period and Business Membership fees are non-refundable, including in circumstances where the Business Membership is partially used, completely unused, or the Business Member account has been restricted or deactivated for misuse or deleted on request of the Member, except as expressly set out in clauses 7 (Suspension and Termination) or 8 (Changes to the Membership) below. 

   3. Cancelling your Business Membership means that your Business Membership will not automatically renew at the end of the Business Membership Period.  Cancelling a Business Membership does not entitle you to any credit, refund or exchange. 

       

5. Fair Use

1. Business Memberships are subject to fair use.  Airtasker may impose reasonable limits, monitoring, or restrictions to prevent use outside of fair use, which may include, but are not limited to, the following: 
   1. Excessive, repetitive, or abusive booking behaviour.
   2. Sharing access to or use of a Business Member account or BM Seat with anyone other than the applicable Business Member or nominated BM Seat holder.
   3. Behaviour that Airtasker determines to be fraudulent, exploitative or otherwise outside of reasonable business use.

6. Account Use and Non-Transferability

   1. Business Memberships are non-transferable and may only be used by the Business Member and the account holders of the nominated BM Seats.
   2. You must not share your account credentials or allow any third parties to access or use your Business Membership.
   3. Any attempt to transfer, share, or misuse a Business Membership may result in immediate restriction, suspension, or termination of the account without any refund.
   4. The Business Member is responsible for each BM Seat holder's access to and use of the Platform and the Business Membership Benefits, and must ensure that each BM Seat holder complies with these Business Membership Terms and Airtasker's Terms and Conditions. Any act or omission of a BM Seat holder that would constitute a breach of these Business Membership Terms if done by the Business Member will be treated as a breach by the Business Member.

   5. If the Business Membership ends for any reason, each BM Seat holder's access to the Business Membership Benefits will also end. This does not otherwise affect a BM Seat holder's separate Airtasker account or their ability to use the Platform outside of the Business Membership, except that Airtasker may still restrict, suspend, or terminate a BM Seat holder's Airtasker account in accordance with Airtasker's Terms and Conditions or Community Guidelines, including where that BM Seat holder has breached those Terms or Guidelines.

       

7. Suspension and Termination

   1. If Airtasker determines at its sole discretion that you have breached these Business Membership Terms or Airtasker’s Terms and Conditions, Airtasker may immediately restrict, suspend, or terminate your Business Membership and/or Airtasker account.
   2. If Airtasker terminates your Business Membership for its own convenience, that is, for a reason other than a breach of these Business Membership Terms, Airtasker's Terms and Conditions, or the Community Guidelines, or fraudulent, exploitative, or otherwise improper use of a Business Membership (for example, discontinuance of the program), Airtasker will refund a pro-rata portion of the Business Membership Fee corresponding to the unused portion of the then-current Business Membership Period. No refund is payable where a Business Membership is restricted, suspended, or terminated for breach or misuse.
   3. In the event that your Airtasker account is restricted, suspended, or terminated for breaching Airtasker’s Terms and Conditions or Community Guidelines, you will not be entitled to any refund, credit, or compensation.

   4. Airtasker reserves the right to accept or refuse any attempts to purchase or use a Business Membership, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

       

8. Changes to the Membership

   1. Airtasker may, in its reasonable discretion, change these Business Membership Terms, the Business Membership Benefits, discontinue the Business Membership program or modify its pricing.  Any changes implemented by Airtasker will not affect your right to cancel the automatic renewal of your Business Membership at any time.  
   2. As reasonably determined by Airtasker, where we make material changes to these Business Membership Terms or the Business Membership Benefits, we will provide you with 30 days’ prior written notice.  
   3. If any change to these Business Membership Terms is found invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that change is severable and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining changes or conditions.
   4. Continued use of a Business Membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Business Membership Terms.

   5. If Airtasker discontinues the Business Membership program during your then-current Business Membership Period, Airtasker will refund a pro-rata portion of your Business Membership Fee corresponding to the remaining, unused portion of that Business Membership Period.

       

9. Disclaimers and Liability

   1. Holding a Business Membership does not guarantee Tasker availability, pricing, or service outcomes on the Platform. It merely provides the member with the Business Membership Benefits.
   2. Pursuant to Airtasker’s Terms and Conditions, you specifically acknowledge and agree that any services provided to you in relation to a Task you post on the Platform will be the services of an independent contractor engaged by you.  To the extent permitted by law, Airtasker is not liable for any loss arising out of or in any way connected with the services provided to you by an independent contractor in relation to any Task.
   3. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Airtasker excludes all liability arising from or in connection with Business Membership use.

   4. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under law.

       

10. Privacy

    1. Personal information collected in connection with your Business Membership is handled in accordance with Airtasker’s Privacy Policy.

        

11. General

    1. Business Memberships cannot be used in conjunction with other offers unless expressly stated.
    2. You have certain rights under the Australian Consumer Law which cannot be excluded and are not affected by these Business Membership Terms. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, with respect to Business Memberships, including without limitation, any express or implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. 

    3. In the event of any inconsistency between Airtasker’s Terms & Conditions and these Business Membership Terms, these Business Membership Terms will prevail in relation to the Business Membership.

        

12. Governing Law

    1. These Business Membership Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. By purchasing a Business Membership, you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
