Gift Card Terms and Conditions

Airtasker Limited (Airtasker) Gift Card Terms and Conditions

1. Australian Airtasker gift cards entitle the recipient to redeem the value of the gift card (denominated in Australian dollars) on services acquired through the Airtasker Australian platform www.airtasker.com (Platform). 
2. To use an Airtasker gift card, the recipient must have or create an Airtasker account and post a task on the Platform. Then, when the recipient accepts an offer from the selected independent contractor, the recipient must enter the gift card code when prompted to enter payment details.
3. If the full value of an Airtasker gift card is not used in one transaction, the recipient may use the Airtasker gift card to pay for subsequent Tasks until such time as the total value has been spent, or the date of expiry of the gift card, whichever occurs earlier. 
4. Airtasker gift cards expire 3 years from their date of issue. Any balance not used by this time shall be forfeited. 
5. By using an Airtasker gift card, you acknowledge and agree that any use of the Platform is subject to Airtasker’s Terms and Conditions available at www.airtasker.com/au/terms/.  
6. All Tasks must adhere to Airtasker’s Community Guidelines.
7. Pursuant to Airtasker’s Terms and Conditions, you specifically acknowledge and agree that any services provided to you in relation to a Task you post on the Platform will be the services of an independent contractor engaged by you.  To the extent permitted by law, Airtasker is not liable for any loss arising out of or in any way connected with the services provided to you by an independent contractor in relation to any Task.
8. Airtasker gift cards are not transferable, not refundable and are not redeemable for cash. 
9. The use of an Airtasker gift card cannot be combined with promotional offers, discounts, or coupons.
10. Airtasker is not responsible for any Airtasker gift card that is lost or stolen, including electronic gift cards where an incorrect email address has been used by the purchaser. 
11. Airtasker reserves the right to void a gift card (and may restrict the individual from using the Platform) if we determine at its sole discretion that a gift card has been obtained, used, or applied to an Airtasker Account (or purchase) that is fraudulent, unlawful or in any way inconsistent with Airtasker’s Terms and Conditions or Community Guidelines.
12. You have certain rights under the Australian Consumer Law which cannot be excluded and are not affected by these terms and conditions. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, with respect to gift cards, including without limitation, any express or implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, in the event a gift card is non-functional, your sole remedy, and our sole liability, will be the replacement of that gift card.
13. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
