Sometimes offers are left unaccepted for too long, and by the time they're accepted, the Tasker is no longer available. When this happens, the task is more likely to be cancelled, which can lead to a frustrating experience for Customers like you.
That’s why, in order to improve the quality, trust and reliability of our marketplace, some tasks now have an expiry time set on their offers.
Who sets the expiry time on my offers?
For tasks with expiring offers, the Taskers who make offers have been asked to choose an expiry time that best reflects their own needs and availability. Taskers are able to set an expiry time anywhere up to 7 days (and a minimum of 4 hours) ahead, so they can account for situations where they might have a brief gap in their schedules today and only want to make their offer available until then, or they may have lots of capacity over the next week to complete your task.
Will I receive any warning before expiry?
You’ll receive an email and push notification (if enabled on iOS and Android) approximately one hour before each offer expires, reminding you of the upcoming expiry.
What happens when an offer expires?
You won’t be able to assign the task to the Tasker who made that offer unless the Tasker extends the expiry time on their offer.
What happens if I’m interested in an offer but I just missed the deadline?
No worries! You can still continue the conversation with the Tasker, and if they wish, they can edit their offer and update the expiry time so you can have more time to decide.
