Just a heads up, this information is relevant for the United States ONLY.
If you’re a new Tasker in the US, you might see a persistent “Get Verified” message in the Airtasker app. Don’t worry, this should not prevent you from requesting payments.
Why this happens
- When you tap “Get Verified” on the mobile app, the Stripe pop-up appears.
- The “Get Verified” banner may stay visible if you haven’t completed all the steps.
- This typically occurs because Stripe, our payment provider, requires additional information—such as the last four digits of your SSN—to fully verify your account.
What to do
- Open the Stripe verification pop-up when you see “Get Verified.”
- Tap the “Edit” button under Personal Details.
- Enter the last 4 digits of your SSN and tap Submit.
- Wait for the status to update to Verified.
- Tap Confirm to complete the process.
- Once verification is complete, the “Get Verified” banner will disappear, and you can request payments normally.
- Contact Support if you continue to have issues requesting payments.
Note: Do not request/accept cash or off-platform payments — all payments must go through Airtasker.
