An active Airtasker membership waives the Connection Fee on eligible tasks. If you can still see a Connection Fee, check when your membership became active and whether a membership offer was applied.
Your task was assigned before your membership became active
Membership benefits apply to eligible tasks assigned after your membership becomes active. If you assigned your task before then, a Connection Fee may still apply.
Compare your membership confirmation with the date and time you assigned the task to check which happened first.
Your membership payment was unsuccessful
If your membership payment failed, your membership would not have been activated, and the standard Connection Fee would still apply.
Check your membership status in your account settings and whether you received a successful sign-up confirmation before trying again.
Your offer was applied to the membership price
If you purchased membership after assigning your task, the Connection Fee may already have been charged. Depending on the offer, an equivalent discount may have been applied to your membership price instead.
For example:
| Charge | Amount |
|---|---|
| Standard annual membership price | €59.00 |
| Connection Fee already charged | €19.95 |
| Reduced membership price after the offset | €39.05 |
| Total paid for membership and the Connection Fee | €59.00 |
In this example, the Connection Fee remains visible, but the membership price is reduced by the same amount. The task payment is separate from these amounts.
Check your membership payment confirmation and the offer terms to see whether this applies to your purchase.
For more information about membership benefits, see the Airtasker Membership Terms and Conditions.
What should I check?
To understand the charge, review:
- Membership status: Was your membership successfully activated?
- Task assignment: Was the task assigned before or after activation?
- Payment breakdown: Was the Connection Fee offset against your membership price?
- Offer terms: Did the offer apply to your purchase?
