Airtasker clarifies that Taskers are responsible for their work and any consequences during tasks. Registered Taskers have general liability insurance covering third-party injury or property damage, but this does not cover faulty workmanship. Customers should inquire about work quality and additional insurance before hiring.
Airtaskers understand that accidents can happen even when the most experienced taskers are assigned to a task. As a customer using Airtasker to hire a Tasker (an independent contractor), please note that the Tasker is responsible for their work and is liable for any consequences that may arise during the task.
Registered Taskers are covered by Airtasker’s general liability insurance for their liability to third parties in the event of personal injury or property damage resulting from activities not otherwise excluded. For instance, if a Tasker accidentally damages your property while assembling furniture, this insurance can help cover the repair costs (terms and conditions apply).
Note: Please note, this does not include coverage for faulty workmanship. Before accepting a Tasker’s offer, we recommend asking about their work quality standards and if they have any extra insurance for workmanship-related concerns.
