Can I make changes to any instant claimables?
Instant Claim has been designed for the convenience of both you and the Poster. When the Poster fills out the specialised form, all the information you need will be there, so there’s no need to make changes.
Our system generates a fair price according to the information the Poster has entered. If the Poster needs you to bring your own equipment and products, our system considers that and produces a higher price. These prices are non-negotiable and paid for in advance by the Poster.
Only claim something if you can meet the requirements described for the price listed, as this is what the Poster will be expecting. If you’re not keen on something, don’t claim it. At the end of the day, you’re your own boss.
What is expected for a subscription?
The subscription summary (the screen where you can press claim) will have all the details of what is included in the task.
When you claim a subscription, you need to be sure you are available for the requested schedule of the Poster. Be sure to check the start date, time of day and frequency (weekly, fortnightly or monthly).
Sometimes Posters may want something a little extra as a one-off for a task in their subscription. Should this be the case, you can negotiate a price increase when the task becomes the next upcoming in the schedule. Any changes you make on individual tasks won’t apply to the rest of the subscription.
At the moment, subscriptions are only for general house cleaning. They are not intended for deep or end of lease cleans that may require things such as oven cleaning or carpet steaming.
What is expected for a one-off booking?
The booking summary (the screen where you can press claim) will have all the details of what is included in the task. The Poster will expect you to complete everything listed there.
Airtasker is a strong believer in fair pay, and we advise Posters to double check their booking summary to make sure all the required information is there. If a Poster requires something else not listed in their booking summary, we’d suggest negotiating a price increase.
Remember, when you’re assigned to a one-off Instant Claimable, it becomes a normal task with normal task functions. That means you can private message, request a price increase, receive bonuses, and get reviews as you usually would.
