Reviews help people trust our community by creating an easy, honest and reliable way for members to know what to expect from each other.
Whether you’ve posted a task or you’ve completed one, leaving your honest and fair feedback about how it went gives a great guide for the community.
Airtasker has 4 indicators of a member's performance history:
Overall star rating: Shown as one overall number out of 5 on all profiles. Taskers and Customers can rate each other for tasks that were both completed or cancelled. To avoid negatively impacting your star rating, try not to cancel tasks unless completely necessary and give as much notice as possible.
Tasker quality rating: As a Customer, you can also separately rate a Tasker on 4 specific qualities: Communication, Punctuality, Eye for detail and Efficiency. This rating doesn't contribute to the Tasker's overall star rating but will give other Customers an idea of a Tasker's performance with respect to certain qualities that they may value in a Tasker.
Written reviews: You have the option to leave a written review about the person you worked with on your task. Your review will be publicly recorded with your name associated with the account of the person you reviewed. If you want your rating to remain anonymous, you can choose to skip the written review and the other person will not see what you rated them out of 5.
Completion rate: This is an indicator of reliability and shows the percentage of tasks that a Tasker has completed compared to all the tasks they were assigned. Only the cancellations that were caused by the Tasker will affect their rate. The completion rate is only shown after the Tasker has been assigned 5 Tasks or more.
Who can leave a written review on Airtasker?
Both Customers and Taskers can leave a review as long as the task has been assigned and completed, or assigned and cancelled.
When can reviews be submitted and published?
To help keep it honest, reviews are only made public once both sides have left a review:
- As soon as the payment is released and the task is closed, each person has 14 days to leave a review.
- If both reviews are left within this period, we’ll publish them straight away.
- After 14 days, any submitted reviews will go public, no matter if one member has or hasn't left a review.
- After 14 days have passed, members won’t be able to leave reviews on any past tasks.
Can I edit a review?
Reviews and star ratings cannot be edited after they have been published. If you change your mind about what you have written, we can only remove the review for you.
What guidelines should I follow when writing a review?
Reviews must follow Airtasker's Review Guidelines. If a review has been found to breach these guidelines, it will be removed.
We can only remove reviews if they breach our guidelines, or if the author has requested it themselves without coercion. Once a review has been removed for either reason, you will be unable to leave a new one.
