What happens if I have a problem on an eBay selling help task?

It’s best to agree on exactly what is going to be done before starting the task and to keep chatting and stay up to date about everything that is happening along the way.

Please remember that payment for the task shouldn’t depend on how well the items sold on eBay. If for some reason the items don’t sell, the Airtasker still needs to get paid for their effort and time.

It helps to agree on exactly what is going to be done before even starting the task. The Job Poster might ask you to just list the eBay items, or they may need help actually doing the sales. Once you’ve completed the task (everything that was agreed on) and the Job Poster is happy, then it’s easy to request payment!

What if there’s more than agreed on?

If the task actually needs more to be done and you’ve agreed on that with the Job Poster, then you simply can request a price change using the increase price feature.

Keep them updated

Make sure you update the Job Poster along the way through the task private messages. Let them know (and show) that everything that could be done for a successful listing has been done.

Also, if you’re the eBay seller, then you’ll have to stick to the eBay marketplace policy and take responsibility for all your sales. Please see these articles for more info:
