'Listings' is a feature on Airtasker that allows Taskers to list their services and Customers to discover and purchase those services directly in the all-new Airtasker marketplace.
What is a listing?
A listing is a created by a Tasker to showcase their skills, services, and passions. Listings include all the information necessary for you to be able to find the right person for the job, including a title and a description of the service, a gallery of images, an indication of Tasker availability, pricing, ratings, and reviews. How do listings work?
Listings can be booked in just a few clicks. Here’s how it works:
1. Request to book 📲
Open up the listing you wish to book and hit ‘Select package’. Confirm your location and the date you need the job done. You’ll also have the option to include a private message with any special requirements (or simply a hello!). No payment will be taken and no commitment is required at this stage - think of it as an enquiry.
2. A booking request is created and the Tasker is notified 📩
Once you hit ‘Send enquiry’, a task will be created and the details of the listing will be displayed. The Tasker will be notified that they have received a booking request. This is a private task, meaning you will not receive multiple offers - only the Tasker who owns the listing will be able to make an offer on the task.
3. Discuss requirements and finalise the price 📝
On the task, you will be able to discuss any special requirements and negotiate an appropriate price for the job. The Tasker will then either make an offer or politely decline the task.
4. Assign the Tasker and get the job done 🤝
If the Tasker makes an offer you are happy with, you can confirm the booking by accepting their offer. Payment will be taken at this stage. The payment is securely held while the Tasker completes the task. Once the service has been carried out, the Tasker will request payment release - you can then release payment and leave a review for the Tasker.
