Listings is a brand new feature on Airtasker that allows Taskers to list their services and customers to discover and purchase those services directly in the all new Airtasker marketplace.
How does it work?
1. Create a listing 📝
Log in to Airtasker and click ‘List My Services’ in the top navigation bar, followed by ‘Create my first listing’. Follow the simple steps to tell us about the service you’d like to offer, define your availability, set your prices and click ‘Publish’. This only takes around 10 minutes and you can create an unlimited number of listings!
2. Share your listing 🌏
Once published, your listing will be instantly live and ready to book! You will be able to copy your unique listing link and send it to customers or share it on your social networks. From March 2021, we will also be promoting your listings to our community of over 4 million customers on the Airtasker homepage and in our marketing.
Please note: not all listings will feature when we go live in March. You will receive an email ahead of time if your listing is going to be featured. If your listing is not featured straight away, rest assured we are working on it! Track our progress to stay up to date.
Your listing can also be paused at any time - if you’re going away or simply fancy some time off, hit the pause button on the List My Services page to temporarily stop receiving bookings.
3. Get notified when a customer requests to book 📩
Customers interested in your service will click the ‘Request booking’ button on your listing. They will confirm their location and the date they need the job done. They also have the option to include a private message to you, with any special requirements (or simply a hello!).
When a customer requests to book your listing, you will receive an email and a push notification in the mobile app (please make sure your notification settings are turned on for email and push!). Respond to the booking request within 24 hours by making an offer or politely declining the request through the comments section.
Once the offer is made, a task will be created and you will be able to discuss any special requirements with the customer and agree on the final price before the customer assigns you to the task. All listing details will be stored on the task for easy reference.
N.B. Although this will look like a normal task, it is private between you and the customer. Don't worry, other Taskers will not be able to make an offer on this task! As with normal tasks, our Community Guidelines must be met. Any attempt at sharing contact information before the task is assigned will be moderated.
4. Complete the task and be paid 💰
From here on, the process works in exactly the same way as Airtasker today. Complete the task, request payment release and be paid.
