Listings allow Taskers to list their services and customers to discover and purchase those services directly in the all-new Airtasker marketplace.
How does it work?
1. Create a listing 📝
Log in to Airtasker and click ‘List My Services’ in the top navigation bar, followed by ‘Create my first listing’. Follow the simple steps to tell us about the service you’d like to offer, define your availability, set your prices and click ‘Publish’. This only takes around 10 minutes and you can create an unlimited number of listings!
High-quality listings will be ranked first on our homepage, so make sure to check out our tips and tricks on how to create listing customers love.
Your listing will be reviewed by our moderation team, so it’s important you follow our listing guidelines.
2. Get notified when a customer requests to book 📩
Once your listing is published, you will start receiving booking requests from customers.
You can find these in ‘My Tasks’ under the ‘Booking requests’ tab.
We will also send you email and app notifications, so make sure you’ve got ‘task updates’ enabled in your notification settings so you don’t miss out!
3. Quickly respond to booking requests 💬
When a customer makes a booking request a task will be created and you will be able to discuss any special requirements with the customer and agree on the final price before committing to the job. Once you’re aligned, you still need to make them a final offer. If you can’t take on the job, make sure to decline politely through the comments section. Remember: Your response time determines your listing’s ranking, so respond quickly to every request! Our most responsive Taskers respond within 1 hour.
Although this will look like a normal task, it is private between you and the customer. Don't worry, other Taskers will not be able to make an offer on this task! As with normal tasks, our Community Guidelines must be met. Any attempt at sharing contact information before the task is assigned will be moderated.
Your listing can also be paused at any time - if you’re going away or simply fancy some time off, hit the pause button on the My Listings page to temporarily stop receiving bookings.
4. Auto pause ⏸️
Airtasker will auto-pause listings from Taskers who have responded within 24 hours for less than 50% of their past 20 Listing booking requests or have not engaged at all with Airtasker in the past 90 days.
This is important functionality to improve the customers' experience. We don't want customers to be left in the dark when making booking requests. We rather want them to engage with taskers who are engaged and responsive.
Don't worry, you will always be notified via email when your listing is paused, and you can easily unpause a listing from the My Listings page.
5. Complete the task and be paid 💰
From here on, the process works in exactly the same way as Airtasker today. Complete the task, request payment release and be paid.
