If you’d like to have your funds returned to the payment method you originally used, please remember that you'll need to cancel the task first. If your task hasn't been cancelled yet, you can find the steps to do so in this article.
After you cancel the task, you’ll receive an email confirming the cancellation and letting you know that the task funds will be returned as Airtasker credits. If you prefer to have your funds sent back to your original payment method, just reply to that email. Once our customer support team processes the return, the funds will leave Airtasker and your bank will start the process of putting the money back on your card.
The time it takes for the transfer to complete depends on your bank. If you want to find out how long it usually takes, you can check here.
Note: According to bank policy, refunds can only be processed back to the original card that was charged for the task.
