Subscriptions are the super simple new way to get a stream of new tasks, by letting you repeat a task with a Poster on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.
In this article you will find answers to the following questions:
- How do I skip a task?
- How do I cancel a task that's scheduled in the next 48 hours?
- How do I cancel the whole subscription?
- What else do I need to know about cancelling?
- What happens if I don't like the Poster?
How do I skip a task?
Please do your best to make sure you are able to complete a subscription to the cycle that the Poster has selected.
We do understand things happen and sometimes you might need to miss a day. For these cases, simply select Skip for that date on the schedule. Try not to do this too often though - the Poster might swap to another Tasker if they think you’re unreliable.
You won’t be able to skip a cycle if it’s scheduled in the next 48 hours. Instead, you’ll need to cancel that individual task (see below for instructions).
How do I cancel a task that’s scheduled in the next 48 hours?
In these cases, we’d recommend first reaching out to the Poster to explain why you need to cancel at such short notice.
To cancel your closest upcoming task, click Manage next to that date in the subscription page. Once on the task details page, select the drop down menu and click Cancel Task. The task will be cancelled when the Poster clicks accept, or when 48 hours has passed.
How do I cancel the whole subscription?
There are alternatives to cancelling subscriptions. You can choose to skip a cycle if you can’t make it one day, or make changes for individual cycles if the Poster needs something a little different.
If you really can’t continue with a subscription at all, head to the subscription page and click Cancel (at the very bottom of the page). Please note that this won’t cancel the closest upcoming task if it’s scheduled within 48 hours - you’ll have to cancel this individually as well.
What else do I need to know about cancelling?
You can cancel the closest upcoming task without cancelling the whole subscription. You can also cancel the remaining subscription without cancelling the closest upcoming task. But if you find that you need everything cancelled, you will need to go through both processes described above.
Please note that subscriptions are opportunities only those Taskers with a proven track record and great reputation can claim. Taskers with repeated patterns of cancellations may not be offered subscriptions.
We do understand sometimes things come up that make you unable to complete a task. In these genuine cases, remember to let the Poster know ASAP so they can make alternative arrangements. We can allow for individual cancellations, but we’ll investigate patterns of repeat behaviour.
What happens if I don’t like the Poster?
If something comes up and you don’t want to work with a Poster anymore, you can cancel the subscription. This will mean the subscription becomes available for other Taskers to claim and take over.
Please make sure to contact us if something serious has happened to make you want to end the subscription. Our team takes trust and safety very seriously and will be able to assist you.
