How to cancel unclaimed bookings
Once you’ve confirmed your booking details, your request will be sent out to our community of quality Taskers. If your circumstances change before your booking has been claimed, cancelling is free and easy.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to cancelling an unassigned booking:
- Go to your task (before it's claimed you'll find it in the Bookings tab of My Tasks).
- Scroll down to the bottom of the task to find the Cancel booking button.
- Select Cancel booking.
- Follow the steps on screen.
Once this is done, your booking should be cancelled.

How to cancel claimed bookings
Once a booking has been claimed, it becomes just like a regularly posted task. That means that cancelling a claimed booking uses the same process as cancelling a normal task.
Here's a step-by-step guide to cancelling a task:
- Go to your task (after it's claimed you'll find it in My Tasks).
- Select More Options.
- Select Cancel Task.
- Follow the steps on the screen.
The Tasker will be notified about your request. They have 48 hours to either accept or decline the cancellation. If we don’t receive a response within this time, the task will be cancelled automatically.
Once the task has been cancelled, payment will be returned to you as an Airytasker credit (which can be immediately used on your next task). Keep an eye out for an email at this time for further information.
