Airtasker provides a free dispute service to assist Taskers and Customers. This process helps in effective negotiation, enabling users to find a resolution while aiming for a fair price, based on task expectations. Treating others with respect is absolutely essential. Inappropriate actions or behaviour during the dispute process isn't tolerated. This includes:
- Breaching any Community Guidelines.
- Acting in a threatening or abusive way to Airtasker Staff or another member.
- Uncooperative behaviour during the dispute process.
If you choose to act in this way, regardless of the nature of the dispute, the dispute process won't continue. If you’re a Tasker, the task payment will go to the other person - this means you won’t be paid; if you’re a Customer, this means you won’t get to negotiate partial payment.
The reason for this is Airtasker was founded on the principles of respect and productive behaviour. We’ve found that the best results come from mutual respect. So our aim will always be to work together to make sure that your outcome is fair, equal and beneficial to everyone.
